My experience with the Regen (Amber)

I just would like to report my experience with the Amber device in my system comprising of optimized PC (with and without NAA), double ES9018 based LKS Audio DAC, SanderSound Magtech, Magnepan Mini Maggie System.
The Amber was tested with a LPS at 9V by two people in a blind test setup.

My first listening was done with RB tracks without computer upsampling (I employ HQPlayer in Windows and AudioLinux) as the Amanero on my DAC at that time could only run at 1x. Of course this may have influenced the test, but at least in those conditions inserting an Amber had a positive outcome as I reported on Italian NextHardware forum.

After a couple of weeks I have redone the test with orchestral RB pieces from Mercury Living Presence Collection (like "Hi-Fi to the Spanish & Popovers"), but using a new Amanero interface with femto clocks, isolation, separate power supply and ground from PC and "upconverting" at both DSD128 and DSD256 via HQPlayer - this time the result was very different. The test was again carried out by two people (one was me) both unaware of which setup was used; the sensations of both listeners were very similar and generally in agreement.
Inserting the Amber on the USB path made the orchestral program less organic and brighter, verging on fatigue.
In my system the Amber is out because it's not necessary. As a matter of fact I just sold it. However, I enjoyed the ride.
