RE: Converting between PCM and DSD

As per the other posts, lots of potential details and complexities.

However, I don't believe ultimately there's any audible difference of significance. I did look at a few measurements comparing 24-bit PCM and converting to DSD and vice versa last year (linked below). As others have noted, no need to worry about integer sampling rates nor multiple-of-6 dB adjustments if you need to add gain as that's also done in 32-bit or 64-bits precision before conversion down to 24-bits output.

I still like the Saracon output and believe the strong lowpass filter is a good thing. Keeps file sizes smaller as well. Expensive pro solution of course. Nothing wrong with JRiver or free solutions like Korg.
