Run the netstat -e command from a Windows command window. It will show Ethernet statistics. If you want to do a big file transfer run it once, do the file transfer, and run it a second time and look at the differences, seeing what happened during the transfer.

This is typical. No errors. The only time I've gotten errors is when I used a cable with a broken plastic locking tab and the connector wiggled out.
