The problem with coming out of hibernation or sleep or after log in is that Windows has various maintenance tasks that it performs if you haven't stripped them out. These get scheduled. If this system isn't running 24/7 then they pile up at logon or after sleep. Keeping the system up 24/7 is a simple way of making pileup unlikely. Alternatively, you can kill off these tasks if they don't matter. The problem is ascertaining which ones matter and what the consequences are from disabling them.
Apart from audio problems, another reason for leaving a system powered up 24/7 is that it provides better response. If one is prepared to power on the system for fifteen minutes or so before using it then one can enjoy the computer to its full capability.
