DPC latency describes only one aspect of real-time performance. There can be other problems, either operating system tasks or other applications that are interfering with processing your audio. I suggest becoming a student of the Windows task monitor and learning what the patterns are when the system is working well and when you get glitches. You will have to look at the system processes as well as the ones that belong to your user account.I have no suggestions as to your freeze ups. It could be operating system corruption due to glitches or malware or it could be hardware failures. Or any other possibilities. If the problem persists after reformatting and reinstalling the operating system and software and restoring data files from backups then its likely to be intermittent hardware problems.
Of course if it's always the same program, then try another one.
General steps for curing computer problems, in priority order:
1. Stop and restart failed program
2. Log out and log back in.
3. Reboot the operating system
4. Power cycle the computer
5. Kick the machine.
6. Throw the machine in the hazardous waste bin
