Tagging with WAV limited...

As others have chimed in, you're fortunate to have tagging with WAV files at all.

dBPowerAmp will retain LIST and ID3 information when converting to WAV but this is rarely supported in general since WAV format is very old and came out before the advent of regular tagging.

I agree with the previous respondent suggesting FLAC level 0 or maybe 1 if you feel lossless compression causes audible differences. At these low compression demands, the chance of decompression artefacts is essentially nil even with very slow machines.


BTW: I've found this capability of dBPowerAmp excellent when used in concert with programs like iZotope RX which doesn't handle FLAC. The FLAC is converted to WAV, the conversion with iZotope is done, then the WAV back to FLAC and the tagging is retained.
