RE: Building A System To Play DSD Files

Another possibility is to use HQPlayer with an NAA. It is an excellent, high specialized player by Signalyst. It can play and convert at any DSD rate.
An NAA (network audio adapter) is just a little Debian based box like CuBox or BeagleBone Black that receives the data from the PC (Win/Mac/Linux) over ethernet and plays onto a USB DAC. With a router PC and NAA can be very far apart. In this way DAC is also isolated from PC computation/noise.
