Yes, it *should* work but doesn't on the TEAC. Some kind of driver issue, hence the workaround.I tried a few 24/96 vinyl rips to DSD128 upsampling. Excellent - seems to add more "bloom" to the presentation.
Of course the effect is likely to differ depending on the DAC and how it processes PCM vs. DSD data...
