Fine, then why not propose another explanation for what you hear other than the "time of flight"/jitter model if I am right?

Propose it and folks like myself would love to think about it and try to understand it - hopefully fix it if there is a fix. I am saying I don't hear a difference with bit-perfect software AND have taken time and effort in controlling the potential variables AND tried to quantify the "issue" and can't.

I do of course look forward to future hardware upgrades that can make music sound even better (whether more accurate or improve psychoacoustic experience), and look forward to theories that are plausible that can advance the science of audio reproduction.
