Not true. I can hear the difference between NOS DACs and standard oversampling varieties for example. Likewise, the TEAC with filter off sounds different from slow/fast roll-off varieties. These are measurable and can be explained. Cheap "DAC"s inside laptops likewise sound different and it's quite obvious in that post the difference in noise levels and whether they're capable of resolution down to the LSB.

Bit-perfect player software sounds the same to me - especially when using the same driver. That I have no issue believing in and my experience does not suggest otherwise.
