RE: Streaming FLAC and DSD Files via WiFi ... Does it Hurt Sound Quality?

At this stage, not sure what the "consensus" is saying, but here's my take:

Subjectively I have not noticed a problem streaming FLAC. In the last while I've been using a modified SqueezePlay to stream up to 24/96 through Logitech Media Server to my ASUS laptop --> TEAC UD-501 --> Senn HD800/AKG Q701 using ASIO audio output and have not ever noticed a problem with WiFi unless the microwave is on :-).

Objectively, I have tried to look at the noise floor on the SB Touch a few months back - WiFi vs. ethernet. No difference to the measured noise floor down to -106dB with 24-bit audio. This is with a little device all crammed into a small space with the transmitter in there... I suspect any issues with WiFi and an external DAC would be irrelevant.

As usual, YMMV. Best to test for oneself.
