RE: a little experiment re: clockspeed, etc.

Ideally, the CPU utilization for each thread (I limited to 6) is 100% but since this is a quad-core with "hyperthreading", there's a bit of CPU scheduling in there. Also, since I'm encoding a total of 13 files, and there's disk buffer activity, on a highly granular CPU usage monitor, I see that there's quite a lot of periodicity when the threads are taking turns writing to disk vs. processing. I also had dBPowerAmp "ally" the specific thread to each file conversion so the OS did not dynamically reassign CPU during the conversion process which adds the periodicity to specific CPU cores.

I was at least expecting something but not finding it was useful to know as well...
