RE: a little experiment re: clockspeed, etc.

I've seen folks like yourself obsess over these BIOS settings for years but have yet to hear these differences described (unless doing so causes computer malfunction) or understand how can this make any difference.

Recently, I've even measured things like jitter through adaptive USB and through an asynchronous interface (CM6631 based one) comparing an essentially idle computer vs. one at full 100% CPU and GPU load (the clockspeed, and power utilization will fluctuate due to CPU load on my i7). Barely any difference to the Dunn J-Test spectrum and IMO inaudible at least in terms of the jitter phenomenon through this test.

I guess electrical noise could be part of the equation and I can measure noise floor issues with USB DAC's sitting right on top of the computer for example, but that's pretty extreme unless one is stuck with a poorly shielded internal sound card.

If you have any explanation for why you think stuff like clockspeed makes any difference, please let me know and I will try to simulate.
