Abe, I agree, there tends to be a 'blurring' of definition with SACD. I've always thought this was the reason many say it sounds analogue. Good if one is into that kind of sound, I guess, but that's not necessarily accurate to the original recording/performance.

It's interesting we focus so much in the PCM world on 'jitter'. That SACD oscilloscope diagram looks very jittery and imprecise in the time domain (he talked briefly about this). Has anyone ever talked about this or tried to quantify this!? Ironic people would use DSD as some kind of time domain champion!
