RE: One Man's Opinion About Using Toslink Cable

Interesting comments Maxxwire1.

I had done some tests with the SB Touch as a transport with coaxial vs. TosLink and was able to show that there was less electrical noise with the TosLink at 24/192 compared to a good shielded coaxial cable. This at least showed me that the OP's concern about electrical noise can be overcome at the high sample rate. Note there was no difference at 24/96 where the noise level was minimal in the equipment I was using.

This was with the Touch --> ASUS Xonar Essence One which is one of the few combinations where I've able to run TosLink at such a high sample rate! Most times TosLink is only good to 24/96.
