Here's a thought for folks to try:
Does the noise floor, frequency response, intermodulation distortion change whether your computer is idle (just running RMAA) or if in the background running all sorts of other stuff like Prime95, streaming video off WiFi, etc.?
This should give you an idea if your playback system is well isolated from the computer noise and I presume also hints as whether jitter (I presume worse when the computer is being stressed with all the task-switching and threads of execution) is causing issues with sound quality...
