IMO, there is no point converting DSD64 to anything more than 24/88. There's just not much there worth keeping in the higher frequency range off an SACD...

I was an advocate of SACD's and DSD in general when it first came out - collected SACD's back in 2001, Telarc was even nice enough to send me a free copy of the 1812 Overture. Over the years as I got more interested in the technology however and definitely these last few years with the PS3 capable of ripping these old disks and actually processing the data itself, it's become quite clear to me the limits of DSD64.

I highly respect Weiss (and am very impressed by the sheer precision of their DAC's). The output I have heard from Saracon is top notch and no nonsense! I think they're right in using a strong filter. Converting DSD64 to more than 24/88 is just a waste of space with no audible benefits in my experience.
