10 year lifespan... Suggest better processor!

Looks like you got yourself a very decent setup for what you do!

The thing I think I would have spent an extra $40-60 on would be the i3-3225 processor instead. Computation speed should be ~50% higher in many tasks (certainly if you ever do more floating point calculations or multitask with hyperthreading) and power TDP is 10W less than the G860 given the 22nm lithography. In fact, if you don't need the speed at this time, you can underclock and undervolt to run a cooler, even quieter, system with much less power consumption (this is what I'm doing with my current i7-3770K).

Furthermore, the 3225 has the higher spec'ed HD 4000 graphics. I suspect this small investment could go a long way if you're going to use the machine for 10 years!
