"Let the games begin!"

Indeed :-)

Carcass, no worries, got the CD for <$15 (spend more than that in 1 week at Starbucks) and I get to sample some new music which I've always wanted to get a taste of.

Last night I found some free time to play with Adobe Audition, tried out some versions of LAME (thanks Reylands), set up the survey, uploaded the ZIP, and this AM updated my blog entry.

I don't know of any similar trial like this so figured this would be fun over the holiday season when friends and spouses may be around!

Thanks Ryelands for the LAME 3.90.3; maybe I'll use that in the future but for now to avoid any controversy, I'll just use the newest LAME release and see.

Guys, please feel free to spread the link to the various audio/audiophile sites around to get as many data points as we can. Also, if there's a better file service out there, let me know and I'll upload the 75M file.

Thanks,
Arch...
