Thanks Bob, I'll pass along the suggestion.I think he's a bit disappointed by the tube stage given the hype and I think this is the first tube anything he's bought.
As I suggested in my mini-opinion, I thought it sounded decent. Didn't hear anything to make me go "wow" despite some of the fluff pieces floating around like this (one time when I wish the article would provide people to leave feedback to correct some inaccuracies & BS):

My feeling is that most equipment should sound decent without much fuss once "burned in" and it's unlikely a few bucks in op-amps make any difference. 3 years ago I bought the GD-Earth discreet component op-amp and didn't notice much difference with a DIY AD1852 DAC compared to NE5532/OPA2604/OPA627x2.
