So lemme get this straight. We have here an anonymous writer, at some unmentioned tradeshow, using an unidentified expensive server computer (presumably PC based), comparing at least one track ripped off CD to an unmentioned file format (how do we know the John Klemmer track wasn't ripped to crappy bitrate mp3?!). The writer says this test is "important and relevant". We're supposed to believe this?I find this quote hilarious:
"Furthermore, the budget DACS, those selling for under $1,000, can sound anywhere from, well budget to pretty good. None are close to state of the art, and do not be fooled into believing that they are."So we're supposed to believe that sound quality somehow is linked to price, eh? (And that $1000 is somehow a threshold?)
