Rosa Passos and Ron Carter: Entre Amigos (Chesky Records).
Besides being a top-notch, natural recording, it's a musical gem for those who like bossa nova and slow sambas.
Rosa Passos is a singer from Bahia that deserves much wider recognition.
She sings in a whispery, child-like tone that reminds me of early Anita O'Day and some of Ella's early recordings.
I post on the Music forum maybe once a year...this is my 2003 CD recommendation.
