They dwarf the other passive filters I've tried something awesome, but I hear good reports about Jerry Ramsey's Stealth. The Noise-Hounds exhibit a cryogenic "sound" if you know what I mean. It makes a very natural black background. However, it took three to do it. One was a dramatic improvement in focus & low-level details. Two made a dramatic black background that had an unnatural "WOW! Gee Wiz!" factor. You know the type where you feel pressure on your ears. Three made the system sound much less like a system. Four was no audibly different than three. So, I put the fourth in my boudoir.
