I have a Mini Maggies system with a pair of DWM woofers driven by a Magtech amp.
Last night I was watching a movie, not at particularly high volume, when both Mini Maggies stopped producing sound although sound kept coming out of DWMs. I tried to power cycle Magtech amp; I controlled speaker wires; I eye inspected the fuse onboard Mini Maggies; I waited for a couple of hours (perhaps an electrical protection in the DWMs) before playing back again. All attempts were fruitless. Mini Maggies stayed dead.
Somehow, either DWM is not sending signal anymore to Mini Maggies or Mini Maggies are not able to play it.
Tomorrow morning I will electrically check the fuses onboard Mini Maggies.
What can I do? Did something similar happen before to anyone?
Unfortunately, I am based on a small Asian island and repairing Magnepans would be very complicated - only the idea of it, it scares me. Do you suggest contacting Magnepan support?
Could someone please supply me with an email address. Thanks
