I'm begining a series of test that will result in a paper presented to the AES Convention this December. Some interesting results so far.
This picture is a series of Sound Intensity meaurements made at 2 inch intervals horizontal and 6 inch intervals vertical at a near field position 2.5 inches away from the front face of the MMG. The sound intensity probe measure the acoustic energy flow in the direction the probe faces. In these pictures we are looking at the high frequencies. The color gradients are at 3dB intervals. Instrument used was B&K Type 2270G intensity system.
