Wendell said "VW" not "Beetle". Here's how my "VW" can sound

With Wendell's comments still fresh in my mind, I was listening to music with my MMGs (PLLXO bi-amped, Razored and Stixbee'd) this afternoon.

After several hours of enjoyment at my normal volume levels, I decided to push the amps a little. Wendell mentioned that 500 watts may be needed when modded (I do have this power /channel at 4ohms...now, if he meant @8ohms, the book on speaker efficiency will have to be tossed out!)

Anyway, my IsoMike Test SACD disc was returned to me today. So I ended up blasting away, peaks approaching 110db (Cw). Nary a stress, anywhere. The amps never lighted the clipping lights. The MMGs were fully composed and impressive (for what they are and with no subwoofer). It was my ears that I had to protect, and I stopped pushing the volume up.

So, I should be good to go on modding with new Q-ribbons. In the meantime, I'll keep enjoying my "Volkswagen EOS" speakers! The performance, not the price : - ))
