I am still puzzled why Magnepan still glues wires in lieu of "etching" traces as ET does it. I believe that it would be cheaper and have much better life span.
However, what is proposed has other consequences. Reducing the mass of the membrane plus wire will raise resonant frequency. Not something that is neccesarrely good, unless taken in to account when designing.
