"If a few more inmates try DR's Dynamat trick and report favourably..."

Well, I tried it and I like it.
Recently I was in the "ideal" position as I had to repair the delamination of my 3.6. Here I must thank publicly PG for his help and patience.
Testing with a sweep signal after repair, I noticed how much vibration the mdf frame was transmitting to my whole body (I was holding the speaker straight). I also noticed that top and bottom of the mylar frame were not flat on the mdf anymore. For the bottom I changed/added 4 longer screws to keep frame tight with mdf. For the rest I decided to try Dynamat Extreme with three aluminium L-shaped bars (not exactly, they were "nail shaped", curved on the short side) to hold mylar frame down and still. I got this idea from an old post perhaps by Andyr or Waz.
The result was immediately "visible" after testing again - just much less vibration through my hands during testing. After a listening test the loudspeaker was good too. There is more resolution and I can say that bass has come down a notch. At my usual level, stay sitting next to the speaker, I could simply gut feel more bass.
On my bi-amped 3.6 with Mye stands it is not a night and day tweak, but it is worth it.
