RE: Active bi-amping 2ch and Multi-ch Maggies

Hi DR,
Re. volume control, this is my chain for multi-ch set-up: PowerDVD -> Virtual Audio Cable -> Asio4All -> Console -> Allocator LT -> Lynx.
PowerDVD volume control has no effect because it is Master volume whereas I come out as Wave.
VAC and Asio4All have no volume control.
Console Wave Out volume is maxed out.
Allocator LT volume out is around 75%.
Lynx output is maxed out.

Installing Windows Mixer introduces cracking noise and Wave Out cursor (the only one which has any effect) is already maxed out.
I do not know wherelse I could control volume and, furthermore, I do not understand where output level is "lost". It seems that wave signal coming out of VAC is low. As I said previously, the final output level is acceptable but not - as I would expect - owerpowering.

It is a bit difficult for me to judge the quality of active biamping my maggies because I made such a big jump in upgrading my system. However, even comparing to a brief period I had Asio output with single amp, it seems to me that the speaker is more alive and responsive.

Thanks again for your help.
