RE: Quad; guts of glory

Ah, sorry, don't think I was clear enough in my post...was hoping you could describe the gains, somehow (I know this can be hard to do). Max Townshend has tried to convince me a few times about cryogenic treatment (of hifi cables), but it sounds a bit faddish to me. Do you treat the internal cabling of the 57's too?

As for PW...quite right, nobody knows what he'd have thought, but I'm willing to make an educated guess. I did meet Ross Walker a couple of times (interesting chap), and I heard one of the demonstration shows Quad did, using Flymo cable for for speaker wire! Was amused to see that story recycled in Ken Kessler's book.
