Hey John. Not fishing as much as I'd like, but ....

...I did spend a week with a few buddies on the Kenai River in Alaska in early September.

A fellow tackle collector has a lodge right on the river and once all of his clients have left we come in and have the place to ourselves.

We fish from dawn to around mid-afternoon, then head back to camp to clean up, talk old tackle, eat, drink and general merriness.

Its a great time.

In the picture below I am on the right. The fish are "silvers", mostly 15 to 18 pounds. I took a 50 pound box of fillets to my sister and her husband. They love salmon and now have a nice supply.

Normally I just fish the local ponds and streams of my hometown in CT with small spinning and fly outfits. I haven't fished salt water since I was a kid when my Uncle would take me out to chase blues and strippers.

Tight lines,

Dean.

reelsmith's axiom: Its going to be used equipment when I sell it, so it may as well be used equipment when I buy it.
