Three months ago my bill (one cable box -no DVR-, Internet, phone) went to 191.00, from a nearly as ridiculous $174.00.A few days later I got a card in the mail offering me "triple play" for 89.99.
Excellent.
I called and it turns out triple-play includes a security system, which I don't need. I said no problem, just delete the security system and I'll pay the $89.99.
Nope, they wouldn't do that.
Okay, I'll give up my land line.

I kept them on the phone for over an hour bitching and moaning about how this was no way to treat a guy who has been a client for 24 years.
I finally got to a supervisor who said he could offer me $143.00 a month for two years with no cancellation fee,
Fine, I'll take it.
The next month my bill was $143.00
Yippee !!!
The next month my bill was $191.00.
Back on the phone, more BS, got nowhere. The guy literally told me to cancel and try someone else.
Where I am the only other game in town is Frontier, which is cheaper, but their service sucks. I have several neighbors who are sorry they switched.
I'm going to try an HD antenna. If I can get the broadcast networks out of NYC, that's all I need. I'll stream everything else.
