Not just the main battery ....

I'm sure other cars are different, but with my Mini Cooper the battery in the key (which unlocks the car, opens the sunroof, etc.) is charged by the car. Don't use it and it dies. The battery is non-replaceable ...you get to buy a new key.

So, I'm sure to use both keys on a regular basis.
