In the NPR.org report, the spokesman said "charred remains" "likely a weasel". Hahahaha! I can believe it would be hard to say. Here is a sample of one type of cable they use to power the collider, and is about 4-5 inches in diameter:

That's all the photos I can show you from our August tour of the facility.
My guess is that the weasel never had a chance to actually taste the copper. LOL
