The front four of the Vikings were also referred to as the Purple People Eaters. Alan Page, Jim Marshall, Carl Eller, and Gary Larsen. Page was the leader though, with 9 Pro Bowl selections. It's a shame they never won the big game. they just happened to be playing at the same time as the vaunted Steel Curtain.

Alan Page is quite the class act though.
