my sprite was non-syncro in first.
my hometown in way SW Kansas didn't have many foreign sports cars. Nor many foreign cars at all in the sixties. But I had the Sprite and there was one XKE, probably a '66 or '67. I remember the guy pulling up in my driveway one morning in the jag offering to swap drives. Worked for me! The jag was a red roadster. Way cool. He said he liked my little car too, although certainly not in a 'let's trade' sort of way…
