Maybe that is part of the problem. Unemployment does not factor in underemployed or discouraged workers. They can also artificially lower the Unemployment numbers by cutting emergency Unemployment benefits. Thereby cutting thousands who are receiving Unemployment benefits off the books, just to lower the stat. Figures lie and liars figure.
The Unemployment figures also do not reflect the number of middle class jobs that have been lost to newly created s*!t jobs. Eliminate one full time job that pays a living wage with three part time minimum wage jobs, and the Unemployment figures will reflect that as an economic improvement. Is that really an improvement? Now multiply that a few million times, and we find ourselves in our current mess, with some trying to point at hollow numbers for a sense of growth.
