I don't believe you understood me.

I never said that winning Super Bowls was all that mattered. What I did say was statistics are not all that matter either. It takes a special combination to be declared "Absolutely, Positively, Beyond a Shadow of a Doubt the Best QB Ever to Play the Game", as the OP did. First of all, I don't see anyone holding this title, but for me, if I had to choose, it would be Joe Montana, not Peyton Manning, Terry Bradshaw, Eli Manning or Big Ben.

Also, I think that Brady, Manning, Rogers, and Brees are more of a statement as to how the game has changed than they are about how QB's are better today that in yesteryear. Nowadays receivers and QB's are better protected by the rules of the game, which were designed to enhance the scoring. Back in the day, defenders were allowed to crush offensive players, not anymore.

You cannot judge a QB of today against a QB of 20-30 years ago anymore than you can judge baseball players from the dead ball and live ball eras. If anything, QB's of today are blessed to be playing the game in a time when the game shines it's focus on their position due to rule changes.
