Utilising output transformer taps

I have an old Tannoy 10" DC RED drivers with 2.8 Ohm DCR midbass LF section run fullrange and coupled with impedance matched input transformer to reflect 15 Ohm impedance .
The HF section consist 15 Ohm tweeter crossed with most probably 6dB filter at ~1700Hz . All of it in closed and welded tin box.
How would reflected load impedance change if I would connect LF cone directly to 4 Ohm tap on output transformer (skipping the internal matching transformer ) and HF horn tweeter section to 8/16 Ohm tap?
What would be the potential negatives of such connection?
TIA and Rgrds, W
