Re: Stealth PGS Pure Gold Cable Cable

Just to clarify:
(1) Indeed I 'cut and paste'd the description. So "I" have nothing to do with "them"
(2) Stealth has a few dealers doing auctions all over Ebay and Audiogon, but I'm not a dealer and has no relation to any. I did enjoy Stealth's honest business approach in telling me upfront what's cool and what's not.
(3) I have been in 'audio-recess' for more than a month, re-setting up my system, and acquiring all the connecting cables for a new/clean set-up. If you check my Inmate system, you will see what I originally used. All the major changes took place from late September to Early November.

Personally I don't spend "a lot" of money on cablings, thinking 10% of audio budget is reasonable. My current system's retail value is about $70K, but of course, a lot of them were purchased used. That means I do have a $3500 Used or $7000 new cable budget.

I have gone through 'big name' audio equipment (the K's and the M's, you know who they are), and now I really don't get swayed by advertising (as well as advertorials), and not afraid to test crazy product, but keeping my head and ear clear. For example, I heard many good things about FT Audio and tried one out, but in my system, I detected some incompatiblity, so I returned it. I heard what others didn't, and I proved my point by swapping a 2" length of passive cable inside the LW-1 to a cheap silver wire but improved the compatibility dramatically.

Anyway, signing off for now, but I welcome more discussion. But I am glad I fulfill my dream of hearing pure gold cable. It's a 'fantasy' for more than a few years since I first read about Siltech cable from some 'higher-than-TAS' Asian magazines.

...wondering what cryogenic will do to the gold cable.... Ed Meitner, a reputable designer once heavily into it....
