As a watch enthusiast, I can say with some confidence the mechanical watch industry Ken mentions is in the same predicament the audio industry is in.
Those who "get it" are getting older and fewer.
Attracting newbies is damn near impossible.
So, manufacturers are raising prices ...significantly.
The math is easy ...you can try to sell 500 units at $5K or 250 units at $10K.
I wish them all luck.
Another dying hobby is fishing. I have two friends that Rep huge international brands ...their news is not good. Sales are down and guys who fish can't get their kids interested.
The times, they are a changin'.
