Simplicity of downsizing....







Have begun the downsizing, and I like the simplicity of the new system, which actually sounds better than ever.

Preamp (Pass Labs X1) and amp (Pass Labs X250.5) replaced by Pass Labs INT-250.

Don't need so many Lovan audio racks now either (sold 4 of them)

Turntable (Micro Seiki BL111) out of system as I get ready to sell it. No more phono preamp. Records all gone now too (sold the lot to a friend)

Subwoofer (REL Strata III) sold--don't really miss it at all as the INT-250 provides much better base for the Maggie 3.6s.

I feel there is a bit of zen eloquence with the new setup. One source (Marantz SA15-S2), one pair of interconnects (instead of several before), one integrated, one pair of speaker wires, and one pair of speakers. And a good listening chair.
