I'm wondering if anyone else has had this experience, or something similar.1) I have buzzing coming out of my REL Strata III subwoofer. I clean the contacts on the speaker wires coming out of the amp,and the buzzing disappears.
2) Tonight, I the tweeter in my left Maggie 3.6R appears to be acting up, and buzzing slightly on some piano pieces (but nothing else). I switch speaker wires to see if it is indeed the speaker, but switching the wires doesn't review the buzzing. So, I clean the contacts at the speaker end (with ProGold) and reconnect the wires the correct way, and the buzzing is gone. This is, of course, a good thing as i was ready to order a new tweeter from Magnepan.
Has anyone else had similar experiences where just cleaning the contacts appeared to solve a problem?
