Reproducing live music at the live volume levels don't hurt your ears if the live levels were safe. With unamplified acoustic music listeners will not experience hearing damage, unless possibly they sit in the very front rows of the venue. The same comments apply to uncompressed recordings played back on clean systems at similar volume levels.
If a live performance is compressed then the peak volumes may have to be turned down to prevent hearing damage.
