RE: If only this industry was called "High-end" bling instead of "High-end" audio ...

Richard
It really doesn't matter what you review NOW. It can be a little stuff today but if you prove yourself compliant enough (as your shift of attitudes suggest) you will be assigned a bigger caliber stuff in the future . See , where it is going?
I am a fan of Audio Note . Should I read your review of Audio Note gear if you for decade did not muster a SINGLE critical thought? -I may, because I happened to like Audio Note and you personally but I won't extend much credit to it and a public who is on the fence will disregard it completely since you are known on ALL audio forums from your Audio Note bias.
Now, people who dislike Audio Note and it's a majority of mainstream "resolution" camp will disregard your review of other stuff because being a hyper active vocal supporter of Audio Note in disregard to mostly anything else you're not fit for the task.
Regarding reference points as a Reviewer you should not care a squat about public not wanting to/or having voice in your music selection.
The base is ALWAYS acoustic non-amplified music and voice , the sound of real instruments in real spaces. This is a kindergarten and if a Reviewer with pride list Andrea Bocelli as his only source of inspiration regarding his view on what the reviewing sample makes out of complex acoustic material I have to label him an idiot and disregard what he writes. What other relatively simple toll a reviewer has ??None! And than you have 90% of glowing reviews of equipment which massacre the essence of music and is still a HIGH -END even though it doesn't even begin to approach Hi-Fi.
But,fine -you and your buddies assessed that 99% of your readership disregard classical music , which is true. Do you think that it release you from the regular frame of assessment if the product has any merit as a truthful source? Especially a SOTA one? I think not because it becomes a baseless speculation and you're all just that -a speculants. And I hear the voices , but we do review wast selection of equipment with acoustic music , Oh yea?? Than why the High End is dominated with ear splitting , monochromatic ,high resolution highly recommended junk? An antithesis of musical experience ?
Personally I would not mind the reviews in the style ...
...after I thoroughly examined the component I discovered that it is absolutely SOTA in playing disco , rock ,jazz and all the genres except the sound of acoustic instruments and human voices where it gives only general rendition of what is playing. If you're like myself and 99% of population and do not enjoy going to opera nor listen to fugues you will be absolutely thrilled and satisfied....BUT NO, you and your colleagues absolutely NEED the nobilitating element of that neglected acoustic genre nobody really cares for and you're incapable to grasp,so you just invent lies and deception and push/support horrible products under false premises and this is precisely why I have your kind deep there.

BUT, I of course my be persuaded to change my opinion. Only cow doesn't change it's opinion and I'm just a regular folk like every Reviewer.
Since you Richard already are in the "inner circle" please notify your buds that I will stop harassing them for some donations of equipment they extorted over the years from manufacturers . Just push that hat around .I could use two decent systems. They don't have to be SOTA , a near SOTA is good enough and I can be a great proxy to sell the excess on Audiogon , I can prove it . Also ,I'm big enough to guard their sorry arses on Audio Shows ./ I heard some gossip that a fundamentalist militants of audio are planning to kick their butts whenever they appear in public on shows . You know where to find me.
Kind Regards, W
