Computer systems do operate in the analog domain, as anyone knows who has actual knowledge of their design down to the level of physics.

If you want to see what the analog waveforms on Ethernet cables are supposed to look like you can read the IEEE 802.3 standards for various speed PHY layers. Lots of analog stuff, j-omega and factors of 4/pi, and all that EE stuff. It only becomes digital at the MAC layer and above and that only when everything is working in spec.
