The most unacknowledged truth about audio is that you can get truly enjoyable music from an FM radio if it's just the music you care about. I was driving the other day, listening to my good but far from super car FM radio (10 year old Bose system in an Acura TL) and heard what just had to be the new Ibagimova Schubert. I could hear her particular bewitching style easily. And sure enough, 'twas she.My CD set arrived two days later and sure it was "better." But I'd be hard put to say it was musically better. It was more sonically engaging. The old cliché, which happens to be true, is that musicians and composers don't need fancy audio systems to hear music, don't need verisimilitude. They just want to hear the music and the performance. So relax and enjoy your system. Hifi is largely about expectations. You have none in your car, so it's not an issue. Nothing gets in the way of just focusing on the music. It's not an issue in the concert hall either. Think about that one!
