I had an LP12-Itok-Karma, LK1 and LK280's with DMS's for several years and loved the rig. Best jazz and rock system I knew of and very fine on classical which was my principal diet. Naturally fast (in contrast to Naim), clear, and well balanced overall. Wonderfully percussive. I had to break it up when I moved into a very small apartment after a divorce in the late 1980's, so my aural memory of it is now a full generation old. At the time, I heard no weaknesses. Of course!
I "think" my Audio Note TT is less plummy, I "think" my Crimson electronics in particular are better at the same things the Linn electronics were good at, and I "think" my JMR Orfeos are more realistic. But 25 years ago is a long time. I'd love to hear that system again to see whether my "thinking" is correct. I came to that Linn system from an all Meridian active system with M2's, and for all of the Meridian system's virtues, which were substantial, I found the Linn system clearer and more persuasive, if that reference helps any.
