RE: New York City area repairman

He did repairs for me but, IMHO and of at least one other audiophile I have spoken to, he is a bit off his rocker. Rude, condescending, eccentric, argumentative, and childish on good days.

He repairs some high-end gear from multiple manufacturers and based on my conversations with 2 manufacturers they are aware of Ben's...issues. They rationalize his behavior with the apparent fact that he is very good at what he does.

I still find it hard to believe that all of NYC has just one reliable repairman. Maybe I'm wrong though.

Bottom line: he's pricey, weird and rude. He's also good though. If you can put up with the above I can sort of recommend him too.
