RE: The Decline Of 2 Channel Stereo: Is It Dead Or Not?

2-Channel may not have the market share it once had but is certainly not dead. Many of the major high end manufacturers IMHO remain strongly committed to 2-channel while also embracing HT/multichannel. Classé is a good example of such a company. Also look at the sheer number of upscale 2-channel components being produced by typically mass-market manufacturers like Marantz (Reference Series) and Luxman for example. Among the new products from Luxman, there's not an HT component in sight. Many people with HT setups integrate 2-channel into their systems as the primary music listening source.
